Center for Research and Education in Wind

Center for Research and Education in Wind

The Center for Research and Education in Wind (CREW) is a research center of the Colorado Renewable Energy Collaboratory. The Collaboratory is a unique research partnership that allows companies and other organizations to become members of its research centers and access the research capabilities of four world-class research institutions: National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Colorado State University, University of Colorado at Boulder, and Colorado School of Mines.

CREW is dedicated to advance fundamental understanding and to develop new technologies in areas that can improve the reliability and efficiency of wind power generation under a wide range of conditions. The ultimate goal of CREW is to enable widespread deployment of wind energy infrastructure and to contribute to a reduction in the cost of wind energy through scientific, technological, regulatory, and political advances in the current state of the art in wind energy systems. CREW also emphasizes on education and training opportunities as key to advancing wind energy.

Membership in CREW allows companies and research institutions to learn about and participate in wind energy science and technology advances.

Learn more about becoming a member of CREW by visiting Membership.

Research institutions that are interested in becoming an Affiliate Research Institution should contact the CREW Scientific Director.
